Why join H.E.A.T.?

Have you heard the name HEAT and wondered what it is?

It is our local homeschool support group.  It stands for Home Educators Around Texoma.  Its purpose is to provide encouragement and support through resources, fellowship, and group learning activities to all persons or families who desire to homeschool their children or be involved in homeschool support. HEAT also serves to promote communication of vital and legal information among homeschooling families.

You may be wondering:  Why should I join HEAT?

•You will receive a  Membership Card – 1 per family – which can be used for teacher’s discounts at participating merchants.

•You have access to the HEAT Website which provides a centralized place of information for the Wichita Falls area homeschooling community.

•You can attend 2 Picnics (beginning and end of year) sponsored by HEAT.  While members bring food, HEAT organizes and pays for drinks, supplies and location.

•You will receive a Membership Listing which provides addresses, e-mails, etc. for all HEAT members

•You can receive Discounts - $15 off of your Texas Homeschool Coalition membership ($15 value – for anyone who was going to join THSC anyway).

•You can show your Support of Homeschooling – Help support an organization whose sole purpose is to help other homeschoolers.

What else does HEAT “do,” you might be wondering?
